An illustrious Career Draws to a Close

Domestic Border wins and Leading
Panchal’s most memorable season came in 2016-17 Ranji Trophy, in which he scored 1,310 runs including a magnificent unbeaten score of 314. That helped Gujarat in winning the coveted Ranji Trophy for that year. He was also part of Gujarat title-winning teams in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (2015-16) and in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (2012-13 and 2013-14).
National Team with Brief Stints
Panchal did not get the best of his international career, but he had some calls from India for Test matches. He was sent as a stand-in for the injured Rohit Sharma and was among reserve openers for the Test series at home against England in 2021.
Legacy and Farewell
Priyank Panchal leaves behind the legacy of one of the most consistent and reliable batsmen produced by Gujarat. His technique and temperament at the crease made him stand amongst the domestic crowd and made him a reliable leader for his teams. The Gujarat Cricket Association and cricket fans all over the country had wished him the very best in future endeavors beyond the playing field.
