Here are the large-cap stocks in FII decreased their stake in Q4FY25:

1. Coal

Coal India Ltd’s primary business is coal mining and production, as well as the operation of coal washeries. The company’s key customers are the electricity and steel sectors. Other sector consumers include cement, fertilizers, brick kilns, and so on. With a market capitalization of Rs 2.30 lakh crore, on Wednesday, the shares closed at Rs 375 per share, decreased around 2.15 percent as compared to previous closing price.

Foreign institutional investors decreased their stake in the company by 0.84 percent,i.e., from 8.58 percent in Q3FY25 to 7.74 percent in Q4FY25. Additionally, 5.68 percent is owned by retail investors, 23.35 percent is held by domestic institutional investors, and 63.13 percent is owned by the promoter.

2. Axis Bank Ltd

Axis Bank Limited (the Bank) is an India-based company that is engaged in banking and financial services. The Bank’s segments include Treasury, Retail Banking, Corporate/Wholesale Banking, and Other Banking Business.  

With a market capitalization of Rs 3.28 lakh crore, the shares closed at Rs 1,062 per share, decreased around 1.50 percent as compared to previous closing price.

Foreign institutional investors decreased their stake in the company by 3.38 percent,i.e., from 47.32 percent in Q3FY25 to 43.94 percent in Q4FY25. Additionally, 6.99 percent is owned by retail investors, 40.87 percent is held by domestic institutional investors, and 8.18 percent is owned by the promoter.

3. GAIL (India) Ltd

GAIL (India) Limited is an India-based natural gas processing and distribution company. The Company’s segments include Transmission Services, Natural Gas Marketing, Petrochemicals, LPG and Liquid Hydrocarbons, and Other.

With a market capitalization of Rs 1.11 lakh crore, the shares closed at Rs 169 per share, decreased around 2.15 percent as compared to previous closing price.

Foreign institutional investors decreased their stake in the company by 1.26 percent,i.e., from 16.05 percent in Q3FY25 to 14.79 percent in Q4FY25. Additionally, 6.68 percent is owned by retail investors, 19.02 percent is held by domestic institutional investors, and 51.88 percent is owned by the promoter.

4. HDFC Bank

HDFC Bank Limited (the Bank) is a financial services conglomerate that offers a full suite of financial services, from banking to insurance, and mutual funds through its subsidiaries. The Bank caters to a range of banking services covering commercial and investment banking and transactional/branch banking.

With a market capitalization of Rs 13.50 lakh crore, the shares closed at Rs 1,765 per share, decreased around 0.23 percent as compared to previous closing price.

Foreign institutional investors decreased their stake in the company by 0.91 percent,i.e., from 49.21 percent in Q3FY25 to 48.30 percent in Q4FY25. Additionally, 15.84 percent is owned by retail investors, 35.68 percent is held by domestic institutional investors, and 0 percent is owned by the promoter.
