With the market capitalization of Rs. 3,591.15 crore, the shares of Protean eGov Technologies Limited is trading at Rs. 885 up by 8 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 819.30 per equity share, and it has reached an intraday high of Rs. 918.

Protean eGov Technologies Ltd has received a domestic order worth about Rs. 1,160 crore (excluding taxes) from UIDAI, Government of India, to establish and operate Aadhaar Seva Kendras in 188 districts across India for a period of six years, providing enrolment, updates, and related Aadhaar services.

About the Company & Others
Protean has more than 30 years of experience developing digital public infrastructure and e-governance solutions. It has collaborated with government ministries to develop 21+ critical platforms, with a focus on tax services, digital identity, data stack, open digital ecosystems, and cloud and security. Its projects include PAN services, eKYC, eSign, account aggregation, and digital solutions for industries such as health, education, and agriculture.
As of June 30, 2025, Protean had a strong order book of more than Rs. 300 crore, supporting its pipeline of turnkey projects. A return on equity (ROE) of about 9.61 percent and a return on capital employed (ROCE) of about 12 percent demonstrate the company’s financial position. At the moment, the company’s P/E ratio is 37.7x as compared to its industry P/E 32x.
For Q1 FY26, its revenue from operations grew by 7.11 percent from Rs. 197 crore in Q1 FY25 to Rs. 211 crore in Q1 FY26, similarly net profits increased by 14.29 percent from Rs. 21 crore in Q1 FY25 compared to 24 crore in Q1 FY26.
