During Monday’s trading session, shares of a JSW Group company involved in providing maritime-related services are in focus after the Government of Singapore bought an additional stake worth more than Rs. 531 crores via a bulk deal on the NSE.
With a market capitalisation of Rs. 61,141.5 crores, at 11:35 a.m., the shares of JSW Infrastructure Limited were trading in the green at Rs. 291.15 on BSE, up by around 1 percent, as against its previous closing price of Rs. 288.25. The stock has delivered negative returns of more than 10 percent YTD, and has fallen by nearly 6 percent in the last one month.
What’s the News
As per the 16th May bulk deal data on NSE, the foreign investor Government of Singapore purchased an additional 1.84 crores equity shares in JSW Infrastructure Limited, equivalent to a 0.88 percent stake, valued at around Rs. 531.5 crores through an open market transaction, at an average price of Rs. 288.1 per share.
As of March 2025 shareholding pattern, the Government of Singapore already held a 1.49 percent stake in the company. On the seller side, promoter Sajjan Jindal Family Trust offloaded 4.2 crores shares in the company, or a 2 percent stake, worth nearly Rs. 1,210.5 crores at an average price of Rs. 288.21 apiece.
Following the recent transaction, the Sajjan Jindal Family Trust’s shareholding in JSW Infra decreased from 80.72 percent to 78.72 percent. Similarly, the overall shareholding of the promoter and promoter group entities has declined from 85.62 percent to 83.62 percent.
Financial Performance
JSW Infra reported a growth in consolidated revenue from operations, experiencing a year-on-year increase of nearly 17 percent, rising from Rs. 1,096 crores in Q4 FY24 to Rs. 1,283 crores in Q4 FY25. Similarly, during the same period, the company’s net profit increased from Rs. 329 crores to Rs. 516 crores, representing a growth of around 57 percent YoY.
