Synopsis:
UVS Hospitality and Services hit 5% upper circuit after the company announced that it plans to acquire a majority stake in Calcio Restaurants Pvt. Ltd, which is in the business of operating numerous hospitality brands.

With a market capitalization of Rs 487 crore, the shares of UVS Hospitality & Services Ltd are currently trading at Rs 136 per share, down by 43 percent from its 52-week high of Rs 236.95. Over the past five years, the stock has delivered a robust return of 421 percent.

UVS Hospitality and Services Limited, through a stock exchange filing, announced that it has signed a term sheet to acquire a majority stake in Calcio Restaurants Private Limited. 

Calcio is known for its impressive lineup of premium hospitality brands, which includes favourites like Dragonfly, Shiloh, Not Just Tamasha, Lord of Drinks, Garnet, Club Iguana, and the soon-to-be-renamed The Flying Saucer, now called Aomi.

Once everything is finalised, UVS will own the majority of Calcio. However, this deal still needs to go through due diligence, the signing of final agreements, and a few other necessary approvals. This strategic move is set to bolster UVS’s presence in the upscale dining and nightlife scene.

Financial Highlights

The company reported a revenue of Rs 30.16 crore in Q4 FY25, up by 2,352 percent as compared to Rs 1.23 crore in Q4 FY24. On a quarterly basis, it increased by 1 percent from Rs 29.90 crore.

Coming to its profitability, the company reported a net profit of Rs 2.22 crore in Q4 FY25 as compared to a net loss of Rs 12 lakhs in Q4 FY24. However, its net profit declined by 56 percent when compared to Rs 5.06 crore in its previous quarter.

The stock delivered an ROE and ROCE of 21.20 percent and 22.16 percent respectively, and is currently trading at a P/E of 28.94x as compared to its industry average of 24.83x.

UVS Hospitality and Services Limited is an Indian company that operates in the food and beverage processing sector, along with offering related services. Their main focus is on establishing food kiosks in football stadiums and similar venues. The company was originally founded in 1989 under the name Thirdwave Financial Intermediaries Limited, but it rebranded to UVS Hospitality and Services Limited in March 2025. Its headquarters are located in Mumbai, India.
