The shares of the Micro-Cap company, specializing in educational book publishing for the CBSE/State Board curriculum catering to the K-12 segment, jumped upto 5 percent in the intraday trade upon the strategic partnership with Physics Wallah Limited (PW) to deliver high-quality, customized educational content.
With a market capitalization of Rs. 215.32 crores on Friday, the shares of Chetana Education Ltd jumped upto 5.5 percent, making a high of Rs. 105.55 per share compared to the day’s open of Rs. 100.00 per share.
Chetana Education Ltd, engaged in educational book publishing for the CBSE/State Board curriculum, has signed an agreement with Physics Wallah Limited (PW) to deliver high-quality educational content to CEL’s network of K-12 schools across India.
Through this partnership, both companies will jointly develop and launch an OTT educational platform, offering customized content to help students prepare for Olympiads, NTSE, NEET, JEE, and other competitive exams.
There is no shareholding or related party connection between the companies, and the collaboration is focused on expanding access to innovative and comprehensive learning resources for students nationwide.
Financials & Others
The company’s revenue rose by 10.10 percent from Rs. 40.29 crore in H2 FY24 to Rs. 44.36 crore in H2 FY25. Meanwhile, Net profit declined from Rs. 10.02 crore to Rs. 3.44 crore during the same period.
The company has a strong financial position with a low P/E ratio of 4.7 compared to the industry average of 29.74, a very low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.03, and over 65 percent promoter shareholding.
