Synopsis: Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has approved 11 new projects worth ₹9,076.11 crore to create about 10,531 jobs, with CM N Chandrababu Naidu envisioning accelerating the economy through ethanol manufacturing, solar energy and tourism.
During its 19th meeting, the Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) gave approval to new investments across renewable energy, logistics, mining, food processing and hospitality. Besides approving investments, SIPB headed by CM Naidu has put in place a larger plan to increase rural incomes through industrialisation.

Sector-Wise Investments
1. Renewable Energy & Manufacturing: The largest allocations went toward green energy and industrial manufacturing. Akshat Greentech’s solar cell and module unit at Parawada, Anakapalli, received ₹1,600 crore, while Berry Alloys’ integrated manganese sinter and DRI plant at Bobbili was approved at ₹1,200 crore.
2. Logistics & Industrial Infrastructure: Visakhapatnam emerged as a major logistics hub, with Eco Box Industrials, under Google Warehouse Partners securing ₹1,008 crore for a logistics and light industrial park, expected to create 5,000 jobs being the single largest job contributor among all approved projects. Nexus Integrated Logistics Park in Tirupati district was cleared for ₹255 crore.
3. Mining: Geo Mysore India’s Swarnagiri Gold Mining Project in Kurnool district was approved at ₹689 crore, expected to generate 1,750 jobs.
4. Food Processing: Mondelez India Foods’ processing unit at Sri City, Tirupati district, received the second highest investment at ₹1,801 crore.
5. Diversified Industrial Project: The Adani Foundation’s ₹2,200 crore project at Kapuluppada, Visakhapatnam, was the single largest investment approved in this round.
6. Hospitality & Tourism: Among hospitality projects that were approved was 4-star hotel project in Nellore by DSR Hospitality of ₹139.92 crore, a 3-star hotel project by Madhavi Leisure & Stays in Kadapa at ₹52.10 crore, hotel and banquet centre by Vajra Hospitality in Vijayawada ₹62.40 crore and an integrated amusement park by Srinivasam ₹68.69 crore.

Broader Policy Push
Beyond individual project approvals, the CM of Andhra Pradesh, used the meeting to outline a wider industrial vision. He directed officials to fast-track a special policy for ethanol, methane, and aviation fuel, and pushed for accelerating the state’s solar manufacturing ambitions. On tourism, he flagged the Suryalanka Master Plan, an Elephant Safari project in Chittoor, and the Kangundi Fort development in Kuppam as priority initiatives, alongside plans to expand hotel capacity from 4,390 rooms in 2024 to over 13,753 rooms through recent approvals.
According to various sources, since the current administration took office, 19 SIPB meetings have together cleared 339 projects worth ₹11.86 lakh crore, with the potential to generate employment for over 10.41 lakh people.
