What Is the Goraguntepalya Tunnel Project?

BDA wants to build a 4.5 km tunnel with 6 lanes at Goraguntepalya to help reduce traffic congestion at one of Bengaluru’s intersections.The new tunnel project comes after the Hebbal tunnel project, the goal is to make traffic flow better, along the Outer Ring Road. This will also connect Tumakuru Road and BEL Circle easily, as a result people travelling will face less delays.

The project is currently at the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and technical feasibility study stage.The DPR will check if the project can work from an engineering point of view and look at traffic benefits how it will be built and how much it will cost, this report will then go to the Karnataka Cabinet for approval.
