Synopsis: BMTC has launched new bus services in Bengaluru on July 22 and 23, 2026, which connect residential areas, industrial areas, and suburban areas. The launch of these new routes is believed to increase connectivity and make commuting easier for people.
Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has introduced new bus routes in the city, along with the already established ones, thereby contributing to better transport services for the citizens. The new services are being introduced in phases starting from 22nd and 23rd July 2026, connecting Banashankari TTMC to Maralawadi, Harohalli to Bannikuppe Circle and two circular services in Peenya 2nd Stage. It will aim to enhance connectivity to industrial zones, colleges and destinations in the suburbs and provide commuters with alternative travel choices.
Rollout dates
Route Details:
- 213WB – Banashankari TTMC to Maralawadi:
- This route passes through Konanakunte Cross, Kaggalipura, Harohalli, Doddasadenahalli Cross, Agara, Mallige Mettilu and Chikkamaralawadi. One bus will operate four one-way trips daily.
- 213VB – Harohalli to Bannikuppe Circle:
- The route connects Harohalli with Bannikuppe Circle via Harohalli Industrial Area, Keeranagere Gate, Dayananda Sagar Medical College and Athem Factory. Two buses will operate a combined 40 one-way trips daily.
- Chakra-7 and Chakra-7A – Peenya 2nd Stage Circular Services:
- These circular routes connect Chethan Circle, Kalika Nagar, Andrahalli, Thigalarapalya and Manjushree Garments. Chakra-7 operates in one direction, while Chakra-7A follows the same route in reverse. Two buses will be deployed on each route.
