Synopsis: India has 4500+ industrial parks mapped on the India Industrial Land Bank, spanning 7.70 lakh hectares, with 1.35 lakh hectares still available. Industrial Parks create jobs, improve wages, and strengthen the local talent base.

India’s industrial landscape is rapidly developing, with a few states at the forefront, facilitating industrial park clusters that support manufacturing, IT, defence, and the like. These parks not only attract investment but also generate employment and reinforce local economies. This article lists down 10 states with highest industrial parks attracting investment, supporting sectors from auto to IT, and driving employment.

Tamil Nadu

Growth and new plant investment in Tamil Nadu are rising. The state possesses 650 industrial parks, contributing 14% to 15% of India’s total. It has strengths in automotive hubs such as Chennai, Sriperumbudur, and Hosur, textiles hubs such as Coimbatore and Karur; IT/electronics and the fast-growing Defence Corridor. New SIPCOT parks are steadily adding to the state’s momentum.

Maharashtra
