The shares of the prominent exchange gained up to 10 percent in today’s trading session after the company’s net profit and revenue magnified by 361 percent and 70 percent YoY, respectively, in Q4.

With a market capitalization of Rs 91,412.89 crore, the shares of BSE Limited were trading at Rs 6,752.50 per share, increasing around 8 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 6,245.00 apiece.

Q4 Highlights

The shares of BSE Ltd have seen bullish movement after reporting positive results in Q4FY25, revenue increased by 11 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis from Rs 825 crore in Q3FY25 to Rs 917 crore in Q4FY25. Further, revenue increased by 70 percent year on year, from Rs 539 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 917 crore in Q4FY25.

The company’s net profit increased by 125 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis, from Rs. 219 crore in Q3FY25 to Rs. 494 crore in Q4FY25. Further, net profit magnified significantly by 361 percent year on year from Rs 107 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 494 crore in Q4FY25.

The company posted a strong FY24-25 performance, with revenue surging 102 percent from Rs 1,592 crore to Rs 3,212 crore. Net profit jumped 71 percent, from Rs 772 crore to Rs 1,322 crore, reflecting growth and improved profitability over the previous financial year. 

The company has approved a special dividend of Rs 5 to commemorate the 150th year of BSE Limited and a payment of Rs 18 as a regular dividend, resulting in a final dividend of Rs 23 per equity share of face value of Rs 2 each.

Operational Highlights

The BSE offers diversified services across four key segments: Trading & Clearing (equity, derivatives, spot markets), Distribution (mutual funds, IPO services, insurance), Services to Corporates (security listings, mutual funds), and Other Services (data, index, software, and training). This wide portfolio supports varied financial market participants.

As of March 2025, BSE’s top revenue came from transaction charges ( Rs 6,117 Mn), followed by services to corporates ( Rs 1,253 Mn). Other contributors include investment income ( Rs 703 Mn), other operating income ( Rs 654 Mn), treasury income ( Rs 443 Mn), and other income ( Rs 94 Mn), highlighting strong transactional and service-driven earnings.
