The shares of the prominent vertically integrated textile companies gained up to 18 percent after the company narrowed down its loss to Rs 74.4 crore in the fourth quarter.

With a market capitalization of Rs 9,419.06 crore, the shares of Alok Industries Ltd were trading at Rs 18.97 per share, increasing around 15.18 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 16.47 apiece.
Reason for rise
The shares of Alok Industries Ltd have seen bullish movement after reporting Q4FY25 results, revenue increased by 10 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis from Rs. 864 crore in Q3FY25 to Rs. 953 crore in Q4FY25. Further, revenue shrank by 35 percent year on year, from Rs 1,469 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 953 crore in Q4FY25.
The company’s net loss decreased on a quarter-on-quarter basis, from Rs. 273 crore in Q3FY25 to Rs. 74 crore in Q4FY25. Further, net loss shrank year on year from Rs 216 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 74 crore in Q4FY25.
The company posted FY24- 25 performance, with revenue plummeting 32 percent from Rs 5,510 crore to Rs 3,709 crore. Net loss decreased from Rs 847 crore to Rs 816 crore, reflecting growth and improved profitability over the previous financial year.

Change in management
In an exchange filing on April 21, the company said the board of directors had noted the resignation letter received from Anil Mungad as the Chief Financial Officer of the company. Anil Kumar Mungad will assume a new role as Head – Commercial of the Company with effect from April 30, 2025.

In the company’s recent shareholding pattern, the Promoters of the company own 75.00 percent while Retail shareholders own a 22.17 percent stake in the company and domestic Institutional Investors own a 0.43 percent stake.
