During Tuesday’s trading session, the shares of a “Navratna” PSU and one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in India are in focus on the stock exchanges, after the company secured a work order worth around Rs. 97 crores from Central Warehousing Corporation.

With a market capitalisation of Rs. 13,152 crores, the shares of RailTel Corporation of India Limited hit an intraday high at Rs. 416 on BSE, up by around 1 percent, as against its previous closing price of Rs. 412.7. The stock has delivered negative returns of over 23 percent in one year, and has fallen by about 10 percent in the last one month.

As per the latest regulatory filings with the stock exchanges, RailTel Corporation of India Limited has been awarded a work order from Central Warehousing Corporation, valued at nearly Rs. 97 crores.

This project involves the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and comprehensive operation and maintenance of smart warehousing elements across 226 foodgrain warehouses, and is expected to be delivered by 6th July 2030.

Just a week earlier, on 1st July, RailTel also landed a ~Rs. 15.8 crore order from the Cuttack Development Authority to install eight AI-based billboards in Cuttack, with delivery expected by 2nd November 2025.

RailTel Corporation reported a significant growth in the revenue from operations, experiencing a rise of nearly 57 percent YoY, increasing from Rs. 833 crores in Q4 FY24 to Rs. 1,308 crores in Q4 FY25. Similarly, during the same period, the company’s net profit increased from Rs. 78 crores to Rs. 113 crores, representing an impressive rise of around 45 percent YoY. As of FY25, the total order book of RailTel Corporation stood at Rs. 7,018 crores.
