With a market cap of Rs. 472 crores, the shares of S&S Power Switchgear Limited hit a 5 percent upper circuit and opened in the green at Rs. 382.55, as compared to its previous closing price of Rs. 364.35. The stock has delivered positive returns of nearly 62 percent over a one-year period, while around 10 percent of negative returns year-to-date.

According to the latest regulatory filings, S&S Power Switchgear Limited announced receiving one of the largest orders in its history, valued at more than Rs. 15 crores, from Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company Limited.
The order involves the supply of Disconnectors up to 400 kV for Package 61T and 62T of PGCIL’s Haryana and Rajasthan projects, and the delivery schedules for this contract will commence in the next financial year.

Financial Performance & Ratios
S&S Power Switchgear reported a decline in revenue from operations, experiencing a year-on-year decrease of nearly 15.5 percent, falling from Rs. 46.5 crores in Q3 FY24 to Rs. 39.3 crores in Q3 FY25.
Similarly, during the same period, the company’s net profit decreased from a profit of Rs. 3.42 crores to a loss of Rs. 5.3 crores. In terms of key financial metrics, S&S Power Switchgear has a return on capital employed (RoCE) of 19.8 percent, while the debt-to-equity ratio stands at 0.35.
Shareholding Pattern
As per the December 2024 shareholding pattern, the Promoters hold a 74.97 percent stake in the company, while Retail Investors and Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) hold a 24.82 percent and 0.21 percent stake in S&S Power Switchgear, respectively.
