During Tuesday’s trading session, the shares of a company engaged in the import and regasification of LNG slumped nearly 2.7 percent to R 302.95 on BSE, after reporting muted financial results for Q3 FY25 with fall in net profit by around 27 percent Yo 

With a market cap of Rs. 45,742.5 crores, at 11:13 a.m., the shares of Petronet LNG Limited were trading in the red at Rs. 305.2, down by around 2 percent, as compared to its previous closing price of Rs. 311.2. 

What’s the news

The fluctuations in the share prices were observed after Petronet L Limited announced the financial results for Q3 FY25, through the rece filings with the stock exchange 

For Q3 FY25, Petronet LNG reported revenue from operations of Rs. 12,226.8 crores, registering a decline of around 6.2 percent QoQ from Rs. 13,024.3 crores in Q2 FY25, as well as a fall of about 17 percent YoY from Rs. 14,747.2 crores in Q3 FY24. 

The company’s net profit for Q3 FY25 grew to Rs. 866.6 crore representing a marginal rise of around 2 percent QoQ from Rs. 849 crores in Q2 FY25, while a year-on-year decrease of nearly 27.2 percent from Rs. 1,190.3 crores in Q3 FY24. 

Additionally, the company’s Board has approved the execution of definitive Sale & Purchase Agreements for the sale of 250 KTA  Propylene and 11 KTA of hydrogen from the PLL’s Petrochemical Complex at Dahej. 

The agreement, for a period of 15 years from the date of the first suppl will be executed between Petronet LNG Limited (the seller) and Deepak Phenolics Limited (the buyer).

Stock Performance

The stock has delivered positive returns of nearly 16 percent of returns in one year, while around 18 percent of negative returns in the last six months. Meanwhile, the shares of Petronet LNG have declined by around 12 percent in the last one month.
