This Railway stock is in focus after it reported receiving an order worth Rs. 1,068 Crore from East Central Railway, Indian Railways for constructing a rail bridge.
With a market capitalisation of Rs. 18,269 Crore, the stock of Ircon International opened at Rs. 194.20, up 1.78 percent from yesterday’s close, and after opening, it made a high of Rs. 198, up 3.77 percent. Additionally, the Yearly return for the stock is -33 percent, and the past 5-year return is an impressive 323 percent.
Order Update
The Company has received a work contract for a domestic work where the company will be constructing a new Broad Gauge (BG) rail bridge across the River Ganga between Bikramshila and Katareah stations. The bridge will include 2 spans of 32.086m and 33 spans of 122.0m Open Web Steel Girders, with a substructure for a double-line track and a superstructure for a single-line track.
Board consideration for the order is Rs. 1,068.35 Crores, and the time period by which the order has to be executed is 1460 days. The company has secured this order from the East Central Railway of Indian Railways Established in 1976 as Indian Railway Construction Company Limited, it was renamed Ircon International Limited in 1995. Ircon International Limited (IRCON) is a central public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India.
IRCON specialises in engineering and construction services, particularly in transport infrastructure. IRCON’s core competencies are railways, highways, EHV substation engineering, and construction.
The company reported a 9.90 percent YoY decrease in revenue from Rs. 3,787 Crore in Q4FY24 to Rs. 3,412 Crore in Q4FY25. On a QoQ basis, the company reported an increase of 30.57 percent in revenue from Rs. 2,613 Crore in the previous quarter.
Their Net profit saw a decrease of 14.17 percent YoY from Rs. 247 Crore to Rs. 212 Crore for the same period. On a QoQ basis, the company reported an impressive increase of 146.51 percent in Net profit from Rs. 86 Crore in the previous quarter.
