Rashid Khan became the first bowler to take 200 ODI wickets for Afghanistan. This remarkable record came against Bangladesh, during the first ODI of the series, when Rashid dismissed Mehidy Hasan Miraz to reach the milestone.

In a total of 115 ODIs, Rashid now has 202 wickets in 107 innings at an exceptional average of 20.28 and an economy rate of 4.23. His best bowling figures are 7/18. He also has 6 four-wicket hauls and 5 five-wicket hauls to his name.

Rashid is now the first Asian player to take more than 150 wickets in T20Is and over 200 wickets in ODIs. He also becomes the second player after New Zealand’s Tim Southee, who has 174 T20I wickets and 221 ODI wickets, to achieve this rare double.

In just 107 ODI innings, Rashid reached the 200-wicket mark, becoming the fifth-fastest bowler in history to do so in terms of innings. Brett Lee achieved the milestone in 109 innings. Rashid also becomes the second-fastest spinner to reach this landmark, behind Saqlain Mushtaq, who did so in 101 innings.
