Synopsis: National Mineral Development Corporation Limited has declared quarterly results with an increase in revenue growth of 24.47% on a YoY basis, and net profit went up to 33.24% on a QoQ basis.

A publicly listed state-owned company is engaged in mining and producing iron ore, exploring and extracting diamonds, manufacturing and selling sponge iron, as well as generating and supplying wind energy. Its prices soared after the declaration of the June quarter results.

With a market capitalization of Rs. 63,037 crores, the shares of National Mineral Development Corporation Limited were trading at Rs. 71.70, up by 1.13 percent from its previous day’s closing price of Rs. 70.90.

Q1 FY26 Financial Highlights

National Mineral Development Corporation Limited, consolidated revenue from operations in Q1FY26 stood at Rs.6739 crore, making an increase of 24.47 percent YoY from Rs.5414 crore in Q1FY25 and decreased by 3.79 percent from Rs.7005 crore compared to the prevailing quarter Q4FY25.

In Q1FY26, operating profit stood at Rs.2478 crore, making an increase of 6 percent from Rs.2340 crore in Q1FY25.The company’s consolidated net profit in Q1 FY26 stood at Rs.1968 crore, marking a decrease of 0.05 percent YoY from Rs.1969 crore in Q1 FY25 and an increase by 33.24 percent from Rs.1477 crore compared to the prevailing quarter Q4 FY25.

In terms of basis earnings per share went up to Rs.2.24 compared to Rs.1.68 in the previous quarter of Q4FY25.National Mineral Development Corporation Limited is a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India.

The company is engaged in the exploration of various minerals. Under a long-term agreement, a large chunk of high-grade iron ore is supplied to the Indian steel sector.

Coming to the operational summary, in Q1FY26, the company has achieved new records in both production and sales. In one year, production output soared to 119.17LT, marking a gain of 31 percent from 107.03LT YoY. Along with it, in one year, sales touched 115.17 LT, marking a gain of 14 percent from 100.73 LT. This indicates the company’s strong operational performance.
