Synopsis:
HAL Offshore Limited, promoter of SEAMEC Limited, acquired 58,712 equity shares in the target company through separate market transactions.
The shares of shipping stock engaged in delivering turnkey subsea solutions using Dive support vessels, offering services that include the deployment of divers, remotely operated vehicles, and vessel management services for DSV operations, came to notice after promoters acquired the shares of it.
With a market capitalization of Rs.2,412.83 crore, the shares of SEAMEC Limited were trading at Rs.946.70, up by 2.65 percent from the previous day’s closing price of Rs.922.25.
Promoters Stake
HAL Offshore Limited, a promoter of SEAMEC Limited, has increased its stake in the company through two open-market purchases. As of June 2025, HAL Offshore Limited held 70.36 percent or 1.79 Crore shares.
Following it acquired 30,712 equity shares or 0.12 percent stake on August 23, 2025, and 28,000 equity shares or 0.11 percent stake on August 25, 2025, collectively acquiring 58,172 shares, thereby increasing its stake to 70.59 percent of 1,79,48,406 equity shares.

SEAMEC Limited is well-known in the offshore shipping sector, offering oilfield services and operating diving support vessels both in India and internationally. The company owns and operates four multi-support vessels that provide marine, construction, and diving services for offshore oilfields, as well as a bulk carrier vessel for transporting cargo.
The company has a strong client base in oilfield and bulk carrier services, and works with leading global companies such as ONGC, L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering, James Fisher & Sons, etc.
SEAMEC Limited in Q1FY26, Revenue from operations stood at Rs.210.9 crores, slipped from Rs.214.9 crores in Q1FY25. Net profit stood at 75.9 crore rose from 49.9 crore, gross debt stood at Rs.232 crore, and net debt was negative of Rs.247 crore. Net debt to equity ratio stood at negative 0.88x. ROE is 10 percent, and ROCE is 11 percent.
