India’s textile and capital goods sectors are gradually recovering, supported by government incentives, modernization initiatives and rising infrastructure investments. However, global demand uncertainties and cautious private capital expenditure continue to weigh on machinery ordering and textile investment decisions.
Shares of Super Sales India Ltd, with a market capitalisation of Rs. 329 crore, were trading at Rs. 1,070, up 2 percent in Tuesday’s trade. The stock remains just 4 percent below its 52-week high of Rs. 1,114.35 and has more than doubled from its 52-week low of Rs. 530. Over the past one year, the stock has delivered returns of nearly 102 percent.
What’s the News?
Super Sales India informed exchanges on July 21, 2026, that shareholders approved all six resolutions placed before the 44th Annual General Meeting held on July 20 through video conferencing.
Shareholders approved the adoption of FY26 audited financial statements and declared a final dividend of Rs. 2.50 per equity share, representing a 25 percent payout on the company’s Rs. 10 face value shares. The total dividend payout amounts to approximately Rs. 76.8 lakh.
The AGM also approved the reappointment of Chairman Sri Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu as director liable to retire by rotation, ensuring continuity in the company’s long-standing promoter-led leadership structure. Additionally, shareholders approved the appointment of S Krishnamoorthy & Co as statutory auditors for a five-year period from FY27 to FY31, replacing Subbachar & Srinivasan, whose tenure concluded following two consecutive terms under mandatory auditor rotation requirements.
Another key approval relates to related-party transactions worth up to Rs. 200 crore with LMW Limited over the next year, alongside ratification of remuneration payable to cost auditors for the company’s textile and engineering divisions.
Financial & Business Analysis
While the AGM resolutions were largely procedural, they formalised a meaningful improvement in Super Sales India’s financial performance. FY26 revenue remained broadly stable at Rs. 410.54 crore, but the company returned to profitability with a net profit of Rs. 3.57 crore compared to a loss of Rs. 1.76 crore in FY25.
Operating performance improved materially during FY26, with operating profit increasing to Rs. 32 crore from Rs. 24 crore, resulting in margin expansion to nearly 8 percent from 6 percent. The turnaround was mainly driven by better cost efficiencies and improving conditions across the company’s textile and engineering businesses.
The textile division emerged as the biggest earnings driver, with segment PBIT surging to Rs. 10.28 crore from Rs. 1.26 crore, aided by operational improvements and customs duty exemptions on imported cotton. The engineering segment also turned profitable, while the agency business continued delivering steady earnings growth.
The recovery appears to be accelerating in FY27. Q1 FY27 revenue grew 13.6 percent year-on-year to Rs. 112.3 crore, while net profit jumped over 411 percent to Rs. 9 crore. Operating margins expanded sharply to 15.1 percent, indicating strong operating leverage and sustainability of the earnings turnaround.
Despite improved profitability, return ratios remain modest, with ROCE and ROE standing at 2.73 percent and 0.69 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, the approved Rs. 200 crore related-party transaction limit with LMW remains strategically important, equivalent to nearly half of FY26 revenue and underscoring the significance of promoter-group synergies.
Industry & Strategic Analysis
Super Sales India operates through a diversified business model spanning textile machinery agency operations, yarn manufacturing and precision engineering products, giving it exposure across multiple segments of the textile and industrial value chain.
Its long-standing association with LMW remains a major strategic advantage, providing access to one of India’s leading textile machinery ecosystems. However, this also results in meaningful customer and counterparty concentration risk.
The engineering division appears particularly well positioned to benefit from increasing investments in infrastructure, industrial automation and renewable energy projects, which are expected to drive demand for precision gears and gearboxes over the medium term.
The textile segment, meanwhile, could benefit from supportive government initiatives such as PM MITRA parks and production-linked incentives. However, management continues to remain cautious regarding near-term capital expenditure trends due to tariff uncertainties, weak global textile demand and labour availability challenges. Going forward, sustaining the recent profitability recovery while improving revenue growth remains critical, especially given the company’s premium valuation and relatively small earnings base.
Company Overview
Super Sales India Limited is a Coimbatore-based diversified industrial company operating across three segments: textile machinery agency representation for LMW, yarn manufacturing through its Jay Textiles units, and precision gear and gearbox manufacturing. The company employs more than 1,200 people and maintains longstanding relationships within India’s textile and engineering ecosystem.
