The September 2025 quarter saw a rare convergence of selling pressure from promoters, foreign investors, and domestic institutions in select small- and mid-cap names. This broad-based trimming of stakes might suggest a cautious shift in market sentiment, as investors turn selective amid stretched valuations and moderating earnings momentum.

Following are a few stocks that have witnessed a decline in promoters, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs), and Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) from June 2025 to September 2025:

Paras Defence and Space Technologies Limited

With a market cap of Rs. 5,589 crores, the stock moved down by around 1 percent on BSE and closed in the red at Rs. 693.55 on Tuesday. Promoters’ shareholding in Paras Defence stood at 53.2 percent in September 2025, down from 53.74 percent in June 2025. During the same period, FII holdings decreased from 6.85 percent to 5.7 percent, while DII holdings also declined to 1.46 percent from 1.94 percent. Meanwhile, the retail investors as of September 2025 hold a 39.64 percent stake  in the company.

Paras Defence & Space Technologies Limited is involved in the business of design, development, manufacturing, testing & commissioning of products, systems and solutions for defence & space applications.

Ather Energy Limited

With a market cap of Rs. 25,388.5  crores, the stock moved down by around 3.4 percent on BSE and closed in the red at Rs. 667.55 on Tuesday. Promoters’ shareholding in Ather Energy stood at 41.22 percent in September 2025, down from 42.09 percent in June 2025. During the same period, FII holdings decreased from 24.07 percent to 23.61 percent, while DII holdings also declined to 23.6 percent from 24.01 percent. Meanwhile, the retail investors as of September 2025 hold a 11.58 percent stake  in the company.

Ather Energy Limited, India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, is engaged in the business of designing and manufacturing high-performance electric scooters. As of June 2025, the company holds 318 registered trademarks, 204 registered designs, and 48 registered patents, along with pending applications for 88 trademarks, 27 designs, and 383 patents globally.

Angel One Limited

With a market cap of Rs. 22,867 crores, the stock moved down by around 2 percent on BSE and closed in the red at Rs. 2,520.7 on Tuesday. Promoters’ shareholding in Angel One stood at 28.92 percent in September 2025, down from 28.97 percent in June 2025. During the same period, FII holdings decreased from 14.66 percent to 13.11 percent, while DII holdings also declined to 14.87 percent from 16.43 percent. Meanwhile, the retail investors as of September 2025 hold a 43.11 percent stake in the company.

Angel One Limited is primarily engaged in the business of stock, currency and commodity broking, providing a margin trading facility, depository services and distribution of mutual funds to its clients. It earns brokerage, fees, commission and interest income thereon.

Aarti Industries Limited

With a market cap of Rs. 13,976 crores, the stock moved down by around 1 percent on BSE and closed in the red at Rs. 385.45 on Tuesday. Promoters’ shareholding in Aarti Industries stood at 42.18 percent in September 2025, down from 42.24 percent in June 2025. During the same period, FII holdings decreased from 6.44 percent to 6.4 percent, while DII holdings also declined to 18.21 percent from 20.38 percent. Meanwhile, the retail investors as of September 2025 hold a 33.2 percent stake in the company.

Aarti Industries Limited is engaged in the business of manufacturing and dealing in speciality chemicals and intermediates, with key value chains including Nitro Chloro Benzenes, Di-Chlorobenzenes, Phenylenediamines, Nitro Toluene Value Chain and Sulphuric Acid & downstream.

Suzlon Energy Limited

With a market cap of Rs. 82,258 crores, the stock moved up by around 1.3 percent on BSE and closed in the green at Rs. 60 on Tuesday. Promoters’ shareholding in Suzlon Energy stood at 11.73 percent in September 2025, down from 11.75 percent in June 2025. During the same period, FII holdings decreased from 23.02 percent to 22.7 percent, while DII holdings also declined to 10.14 percent from 10.17 percent. Meanwhile, the retail investors as of September 2025 hold a 55.4 percent stake in the company.

Suzlon Energy Limited is primarily engaged in the business of manufacturing Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) and the sale of related components of various capacities, project execution, power evacuation, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) and power generation business.
