The shares of the Tata Group company, which specializes in providing engineering solutions, particularly in the fields of air conditioning and refrigeration, jumped upto 4 percent upon declaring Q4 results with a 113 percent rise in profit YoY.
With a market capitalization of Rs. 41,873.46 crores on Thursday, the shares of Voltas Limited jumped upto 3.4 percent, making a high of Rs. 1287.60 per share compared to its opening price of Rs. 1244.45 per share.
Voltas Limited, engaged in the business of air conditioning, refrigeration, and electro-mechanical projects as an EPC contractor, has announced its Q4 results and a dividend proposal as follows.
Its Revenue from operations rose by 13 percent YoY from Rs. 4,203 Crores in Q4FY24 to Rs. 4,768 Crores in Q4FY25, and it rose by 53 percent QoQ from Rs. 3,105 Crores in Q3FY25 to Rs. 4,768 Crores in Q4FY25.
Its Net Profit YoY rose by 113 percent from Rs. 111 Crores in Q4FY24 to Rs. 236 Crores in Q4FY25, and it rose by 80 percent QoQ from a profit of Rs. 131 Crores in Q3FY25 to Rs. 236 Crores in Q4FY25. The earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at Rs. 7.28, compared to Rs. 3.99 in the previous quarter.
The Directors have recommended a dividend of Rs. 7 per share (700%) on shares with a face value of Rs. 1 for the year 2024-25. This will be paid out after five days from the end of the upcoming 71st Annual General Meeting, if approved by the shareholders.
The company has a P/E ratio of 57.45, which is below the industry average of 60.89, and a low PEG ratio of 0.31, indicating potential undervaluation. It maintains a low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.14 and has achieved an average 3-year revenue growth of 16.30 percent.
Segment Revenue & others
Voltas remains the market leader in both Split and Window Air-conditioners, recording a YTD market share of ~19 percent as of March 2025. The Unitary Cooling Products business saw strong growth, with volumes up 36 percent and air coolers growing over 70 percent, making the company a close second in that category. Segment revenue rose 30 percent to Rs. 10,614 crore, up from Rs. 8,160 crore.
The Electro-Mechanical Projects and Services segment, covering both domestic and international projects, grew by around 17 percent in the March 2025 quarter. Strong project management and completion efforts boosted profits. Domestic orders are growing steadily, while international projects, especially in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, are showing recovery. For the year ended March 2025, segment revenue increased by 13 percent, reaching Rs. 4,157 crores, compared to Rs. 3,683 crores in the same period last year.
The Engineering Products and Services segment faced challenges due to economic conditions and industry issues. The annual revenue dropped to Rs. 569 crore from Rs. 588 crore last year, with profit falling to Rs. 155 crore from Rs. 206 crore, and the quarterly revenue declined to Rs. 132 crore from Rs. 156 crore.
