Another epic dreamworks movie, Chicken Run is a film of escape, endurance, training, and drama. Every character in the film has its own beauty, for example, Mr. Tweedy, Babs, and Ginger herself. This movie is just not a simple chicken and farm movie but that of a plea and emancipation.
7. How to Train Your Dragon (2010)
Easily under a top 10. How to Train Your Dragon is an adventurous tale of a young boy who goes behind a rare dragon. In the process he discovers how connective these creatures can be. So, yet again we get to see a friendship forming between human and a dragon. Among all the best dreamworks movies this movie captures the true essence of art and a meaningful story, which you not only enjoy but continues passing on the stories to another for the long run.
6. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)
The second spin-off of Puss in Boots, this movie blends art into animation gold. This movie offers incredible CGI and yet again amazing back story. The audience loved the first release of the official movie of this series but showed much more love and admiration to Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Puss is in a dilemma as his 8 out of 9 lives had all been used and with the only remaining one he is extra careful, and tries to escape his own reality.
5. Kung Fu Panda (2008)
Debut of the Kung Fu Panda series, this movie remains fans’ favorite till date. Nearing the end of two decades still has the capacity to call in audiences in the theatres. A panda who goes on an adventure of being the chosen dragon master. The comic relief and action-packed story really gives the audience satisfaction of watching one of the top choice dreamworks movies. This introduction to the story of Panda sets the core of this franchise really strongly, which is why all of the spin-offs are also being equally loved and enjoyed.
4. The Wild Robot (2024)
Newest among the others on our list. The Wild Robot is just not a story of a robot; this is one of the finest works in the animation industry. The meaning hidden in the movie is something that most cannot miss. The plot is of a Robot who is left on an island where initially she cannot comprehend why she is there, but slowly finds a meaning for herself.
3. Megamind (2010)
One of the best works of dreamworks, Megamind, takes us through a journey of hero and realization. Megamind is a brilliant villain who defeats his long time nemesis in the film and later creates a superhero which turns out to be a villain. This base plot itself gives us a glimpse of the comic structure of the story. This movie has one of the best comedic script in the dreamworks movie franchise.
2. Madagascar (2011)
Who doesn’t know the legendary song “I like to move it, move it”? Well, the song we all sing and shout when we are excited is from this film. Almost all the kids, regardless of their age, have watched Madagascar and its sequels. What sets Madagascar apart and being on the top 2 on our list is how they have blended 3D animation and on-time comedy. When there were limited resources, unlike today, this movie topped the charts. The story is that of four zoo animals embarking on a journey for freedom.

1. Shrek (2001)
All time favorite of DreamWorks movies fans, Shrek is the number one on our list. Living an ordinary life feared by all, Shrek’s life is disturbed when the rest of the fairytale creatures intrude on his swamp, they were sent by an evil king. Shrek must find a way to free his swamp and send all the magical creatures from where they came from.
