The shares of the leading shipyards company gained up to 17 percent in today’s trading session after the company’s net profit and revenue jumped by 117 percent and 62 percent YoY, respectively, in Q4.
With a market capitalization of Rs 25,660.22 crore, the shares of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd were trading at Rs 2,221.65 per share, increasing around 16 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 1,915.05 apiece.
Q4 Highlights
The shares of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd have seen bullish movement after reporting positive Q4 results, revenue increased by 29 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis from Rs 1,271 crore in Q3FY25 to Rs 1,642 crore in Q4FY25. Further, revenue increased by 62 percent year on year, from Rs 1,016 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 1,642 crore in Q4FY25.
The company’s net profit increased by 149 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis, from Rs.98 crore in Q3FY25 to Rs. 244 crore in Q4FY25. Further, net profit magnified significantly by 117 percent year on year from Rs 112 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 244 crore in Q4FY25.
The company posted a strong FY24-25 performance, with revenue surging 41 percent from Rs 3,593 crore to Rs 5,076 crore. Net profit jumped 48 percent, from Rs 357 crore to Rs 527 crore, reflecting growth and improved profitability over the previous financial year. The Board of Directors approved a final dividend of Rs 4.90 per equity share for the Financial Year 2024-25.
Order Book
As per the recent concall, the company’s order book stands at Rs 23,877 crore, covering 40 platforms across 10 projects. Key orders include 17 Navy warships, 2 export deals, 6 German Multi-Purpose Vessels, 13 World Bank-funded hybrid ferries for West Bengal, and specialized vessels for DRDO and the Ministry of Earth Sciences.
