Your user ID is a six-digit alphanumeric code that is unique to you. The ID is a single username and password that may be used to log in to all of Zerodha’s platforms. When you open an account with us, you will receive your Zerodha User ID via your registered email address.

Here’s how to set up device’s Touch ID or Fingerprint:
1. The Fingerprint/Touch ID feature on the device should be enabled in the mobile settings at first (if it is not enabled already).
2. In the lower right corner of the screen, click on your account (User ID). You will have access to your account’s details.
3. When you go to Settings, you’ll notice an option to turn on the Fingerprint function.
To activate the function, go to the Fingerprint option and select it.
How can I enable Touch ID or Fingerprint?
Instead of inputting your login credentials every time, you may log in to the Kite app with your fingerprint or Touch ID. In addition to a numeric PIN, Kite lets you to utilise your fingerprint on Android or Touch ID on iPhones for second factor (2FA) authentication.
1. Initially, the device’s Fingerprint/Touch ID should be turned on in the mobile settings (if it is not enabled already).
2. At the bottom right of the screen, click on your account (User ID). You’ll be able to access your account’s details. You can select “Settings” from the drop-down menu.

Note:
Fingerprint or Touch ID authentication isn’t available on all devices. Check to see if your device has this capability.
