The company informed the bourses that its beer brands have received permission to supply to the state of Chhattisgarh. In fact, the company has already started the initial dispatches to the state. It is looking forward and is confident about a meaningful market presence in Chhattisgarh, in the medium term.
As per the company’s latest shareholding pattern, Dolly Khanna holds 10,15,429 shares or a 1.31 percent stake in the company. Her holdings are worth ₹ 32.55 crores as per the company’s current share price.
In the past year, its share price escalated from ₹ 89.83 apiece to ₹ 330.00, delivering multibagger returns of 267 percent. Thus an investment of ₹ 1 lakh made in the company’s shares a year ago would be worth ₹ 3.67 lakhs today!
With a market capitalization of ₹ 2,407 crores, Som Distilleries & Breweries is a small-cap company. It has a low return on equity of 12.99 percent and an ideal debt-to-equity ratio of 0.65. Its shares were trading at a price-to-earnings ratio (P/E) of 35.25, which is lower than the industry P/E of 61.50, indicating that the stock might be undervalued as compared to its peers.
