On Friday’s trading session, the shares of a company engaged in manufacturing plastic engineering components and sub-assemblies surged by 4.2 percent to Rs. 360, after the company secured a purchase order worth Rs. 2.38 crores from a US-based company. 

At 01:57 p.m., the shares of Master Components Limited were trading in the green at Rs. 357.5, up by 3.5 percent, compared to its previous closing price of Rs. 345.35, with a market capitalisation of Rs. 143 crore. 

What’s the news: 

Master Components informed the National Stock Exchange (NSE) regarding a purchase order received by the company from a US-based company operating in the childcare industry, amounting to Rs. 2.38 crores. 

The order is for the development and manufacturing of Aesthetic and Mechanism Parts to be supplied at the company’s domestic plant. The order is to be executed by December 2024, including the time required for the development of parts. 

As per the agreement, the payment will be released in parts – in advance, upon sample submission, and on delivery. The part rates for individual parts or the Part rate for one complete set will be applicable after the supply of the first 3,000 sets 

Previous Order: 

On 3rd July, Master Components received a purchase order from an Indian Company for the purchase and installation of 2 Injection moulding machines amounting to Rs. 94.4 lakhs including tax approximately regarding the upcoming projects and business expansion, to be executed by August 2024. 

Financials & Shareholding Pattern: 

In FY23-24, the company generated Rs. 25.3 crore in operating revenue, a 22.2 percent increase from the Rs. 20.7 crore recorded in FY22-23. The net profit also grew by 58.8 percent reaching Rs. 2.7 crore, up from Rs. 1.7 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year. 

According to the latest shareholding pattern, the Promoters hold a 72.45 percent stake in the company, and Retail Investors hold a 27.55 percent stake in Master Components.
