In Tuesday’s trading session, shares of a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Railways (MoR) surged by 0.8 percent to reach an intraday high of Rs. 631.65, as against its previous closing price of Rs. 626.15.
With a market capitalisation of Rs. 1.3 lakh crore, the shares of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) have delivered nearly 57.6 percent of positive returns in the last one month and multibagger returns of 242.4 percent year-to-date.

Lowest Bidder from Central Railway – Rs. 132.6 Cr
On 2nd July, RVNL emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) from Central Railway for OHE modification work for the upgradation of the existing 1 x 25 kV Electric Traction System to 2 x 25 kV AT Feeding System in the Wardha-Ballarshah Section in the Nagpur division of Central Railway to meet 3000 MT loading target.
Memorandum of Understanding
On 4th July, RVNL signed an MoU with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) for participation in the upcoming projects in India and abroad as a Project Service Provider for Metro/ Railways/High-Speed Rail/ Highways/ MegaBridges/ Tunnels/ Institutional Buildings/ Workshops or Depots/ S&T works/ Railway Electrification.

On 9th July, RVNL received a Letter of Acceptance from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Nagpur Metro) for the construction of six (6) Elevated Metro Stations at Cantonment, Kamptee Police Station, Kamptee Municipal Council, Dragon Palace, Golf Club and Kanhan River.

On 10th July, RVNL signed an MoU with IMS Consultancy Private Limited (IMS) for providing technical and advisory services to RVNL for projects in the fields of Railways, MRTS, Tunnels, Roads, Bridges, Building Works, Airports, Ports, Irrigation, Power Transmission and Distribution sector, Solar sector, Wind Sector, Hydro Power Sector etc. in Nepal.

On 11th July, the company received a Letter of Acceptance from Central Railway for the OHE modification work for the upgradation of the existing 1 x 25 kV Electric Traction System to 2 x 25 kV AT Feeding System in the Amla-Nagpur Section in Nagpur division of the Central Railway to meet 3000 MT loading target.

On 15th July, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited received a Letter of Acceptance from East Coast Railway for the provision of Automatic Block Signaling system with dual MSDAC and alteration in existing El/Pl/RRI stations in the section of Jakhapura-Nergundi, Khurda Road-Bhusundpur & Bhusundpur-Golanthra over Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway.
Financials:
Financially, the company experienced significant growth in its revenue from operations, showing a year-on-year rise of 17.4 percent from Rs. 5,719.8 crore in Q4 FY22-23 to Rs. 6,714 crore in Q4 FY23-24.
Similarly, its net profit increased during the same period from Rs. 359.2 crore to Rs. 478.4 crore, indicating a growth of 33.2 percent YoY.
