Railway stock held by Mukul Agrawal, engaged in manufacturing, and supplying a wide range of railway infra-related products and services hits a 5 percent upper circuit in the day’s trade upon receiving new work orders worth Rs. 576 Crores from Indian Railways.

With a market capitalization of Rs. 1,496 Crores, the shares of Oriental Rail Infrastructure Limited were trading at Rs. 241 per equity share, up 1.5 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 237.75.
What Happened
Oriental Rail Infrastructure Limited has received two new work orders from the Railway Board, and Modern Coach Factory (MCF), Raebarel, Indian Railways, for a total consideration of ~Rs. 576 Crores.
The first work order from the Railway Board, Indian Railways involving the manufacture and supply of 33 rakes of Flat Multi-Purpose Wagons for a consideration of Rs. 575.21 Crores and it is to be executed within 21 months.
This was followed by a second work order worth Rs. 1.07 Crores from Modern Coach Factory (MCF), Raebarel for the manufacturing and supplying of 25 sets of seats and berths for the LHB SLR HOG coaches and 5 sets of seats and berths suitable with SS pillars for LHB AC2T coaches and it is to be completed by July 31, 2025.
