The shares of a Kerala-Based Smallcap Bank posted an impressive 551% growth in Net Profits for this quarter, and as a result the shares gained as much as 4.7% in today’s morning session.

Share Price Movement 

The shares of Dhanlaxmi Bank Ltd, with a market capitalization of ₹1,025.03 Crores, as of noon were trading around ₹ 26.07 per share, 4.7% higher than the previous close of ₹24.91. The shares generated a return of 115% in the past 3 years and 121% in the past 5 years respectively. 

Q3FY25 Results

The company reported a 551% increase in Net Profits from ₹3.05 Crores in Q3FY24 to ₹19.85 Crores in Q3FY25. However, on a quarterly basis Net Profits reduced 23% from ₹ 25.8 Crores in Q2FY25. 

Its Net Interest Income gave a double digit growth of 12.6% from ₹114 Crores to ₹128.34 Crores over the same period. On a quarterly basis, NII grew 6.2% from ₹120.83 Crores in Q2FY25. 

Its Gross NPA reduced from ₹496 Crores in Q3FY24 to ₹401 Crores in Q3FY25 and Net NPA reduced from ₹126 Crores to ₹95 Crores during the same period. 

Its Networth increased by 7% from ₹798.8 Crores in Q3FY24 to ₹855.4 Crores in Q3FY25.

The company’s operating margin increased YoY from 3.25% to 7.05% and its Net Profit Margin grew YoY from 0.89% to 5.27% over the same period.

Segment Revenue

Revenue from retail banking increased by 18% from ₹183.5 Crores in Q3FY24 to ₹216.2 Crores in Q3FY25. And Corporate/Wholesale banking revenue grew by 6% YoY from ₹93.3 Crores to ₹99.2 Crores. 

However, revenue from Treasury declined by 7% YoY from ₹63.6 Crores to ₹59.2 Crores. Similarly, Revenue from other banking operations declined by 27% YoY from ₹3 Crores to ₹2.2 Crores over the same period. 

Total Revenue increased by 10% YoY from ₹343 Crores to ₹377 Crores this quarter.
