The shares of smallcap telecommunication infrastructure provider engaged in installation and commissioning of 4G and 5G Towers, Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) Systems and dealing in network equipments surged as much as 6.7% on Friday’s trade after acquiring 91% stake of Tikona Infinet Private Limited.
Share Price Movement
The shares of Sar Televenture Ltd, with a market capitalization of Rs 1,328.43 Crores, gained around 6.7% reaching an Intraday High of Rs 296 per share on Friday. However, it retreated and closed at Rs 285 per share, around 2.8% higher than the previous close of Rs 277.5.
The shares had generated a return of 35% this past week, and a return of 210% in the past 3 years.
Acquisition details
As per a press release dated 7th February 2025, SAR Televenture Limited has revised its earlier agreement to acquire 91% of Tikona Infinet Private Limited, a company offering broadband and IT services in India, with a turnover of Rs 193 Crores for FY24.
Initially, the purchase was valued at Rs 669.04 crore, with part of it paid in cash and part in shares as of October 29, 2024. The new agreement, approved by the SAR Televenture Board on February 7, 2025, reduces the total purchase price to Rs 578.03 crore, with the entire amount now being paid through a share swap. Tikona has a strong presence in major cities across India, serving various industries like banking, IT, healthcare, and retail.
The objective of this acquisition is Expansion of services portfolio and market share leading to enhanced brand image. Operational synergies will lead to cost savings, increased efficiency, and enhanced competitive advantage.
Financials
The company reported an increase of 225 percent in Revenue from Operations from Rs 36 Crores in H1FY24 to Rs 117 Crores in H1FY25. Their Net Profits increased 300% from Rs 4 Crores to Rs 16 Crores over the same period.
