This solar company manufactures photovoltaic (PV) modules and provides comprehensive solar energy solutions, supporting the renewable energy sector with high-quality products and services, in focus after securing an order worth Rs. 211 crore from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for solar PV modules along with solar cells.

Stock Price Movement:

With a market capitalization of Rs. 1,438.91 crore, the shares of Alpex Solar Limited were currently trading at Rs. 587.95 per equity share, down nearly around 3.19 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 607.30. 

What Happened:

Alpex Solar Limited has received a significant order worth Rs. 210.71 crore from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for manufacturing, testing, packing, and supplying domestically made solar PV modules along with solar cells. 

The project is set to be completed within nine months from the purchase order date. This order strengthens Alpex Solar’s position in the renewable energy sector and highlights its commitment to producing high-quality solar products. 

Expansion Plan:

Alpex Solar Limited is expanding its presence in the solar energy sector with major projects. The company is increasing its solar module production to 2.4 GW in two phases. By FY25, it will add 1.2 GW to its Greater Noida plant and set up another 1.2 GW new facility in Kosi Kotwan.

Alpex is also stepping into solar cell manufacturing with a 1.6 GW plant in Kosi Kotwan, a project worth Rs. 642 crore. This plant will be built in three phases and completed by September 2026. Additionally, the company is boosting aluminum frame production by 12,000 tons and expanding its EPC services (150 MW) and power generation (100 MW) by FY27.

Business Operations:

Alpex Solar Limited is a leading PV module manufacturer in North India. With a team of 375 professionals, including industry experts, the company has expanded significantly. It currently manufactures 900 MW of PV solar modules and has deployed over 15,000 solar pumps. As of FY24, its revenue comes entirely from domestic sales.

Recent quarter results:

Alpex Solar Limited’s revenue has increased from Rs. 79 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs. 188 crore in Q3 FY25, which has grown by 137.97 percent. The net profit has also grown by 380 percent from Rs. 5 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs. 24 crore in Q3 FY25.
