Stock Price Movement:

With a market capitalization of Rs. 1,30,619.32 crores, the share of Adani Green Energy Limited has reached an intraday high of Rs. 838.55 per equity share, rising nearly around 1.64 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 825.05. Since then, the stock has retreated and is currently trading at Rs. 824.60 per equity share. 

What Happened:

Adani Green Energy Limited has announced the successful commissioning of a 250 MW solar power project at Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, through its wholly-owned step-down subsidiary, Adani Solar Energy Ap Eight Private Limited. This milestone boosts AGEL’s total operational renewable capacity to 12,591.1 MW. The commissioning was decided on March 11, 2025, effective from March 8, 2025.

Capacity Addition:

Adani Green Energy Limited has expanded its operational capacity to 11.2 GW by adding 2.9 GW of greenfield capacity. The company is also building the world’s largest renewable energy plant in Khavda, Gujarat, with a massive 30 GW capacity. Additionally, AGEL aims to deliver approximately 6 GW of renewable capacity in FY25.

Strategic Partnerships:

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has expanded its partnership with TotalEnergies through a joint venture, adding a 1.15 GW renewable energy portfolio with a $444 million investment. AGEL has also become the first Indian renewable energy company to join the Utilities for Net Zero Alliance, while maintaining top global ESG rankings.

Business Development:

Adani Green Energy Limited has secured a 25-year fixed tariff power purchase agreement (PPA) to supply 5 GW of solar power to Maharashtra State Discom. 

The company also signed its first commercial and industrial (C&I) agreement to deliver 61 MW of renewable energy to a data center supporting Google’s carbon-free energy goals. With battery storage prices dropping by 66 percent in the past two years, AGEL sees new opportunities to integrate solar plants with storage solutions.

Recent quarter results and ratios:

Adani Green Energy Limited’s revenue has increased from Rs. 2,311 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs. 2,365 crore in Q3 FY25, which has grown by 2.34 percent. The net profit of Adani Green Energy Limited has also grown by 85.16 percent from Rs. 256 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs. 474 crore in Q3 FY25.
