In Monday’s trading session, Transformers & Rectifiers India Limited stock surged upto 8 percent and was trading at Rs. 405. The stock has reiterated from the day’s high of Rs. 395.55, which is 5.55 percent higher than the previous closing price of Rs. 374.75.
The stock has delivered a negative return of around 46 percent in the past year and has underperformed the Nifty Index in the same period.
What happened
The company’s stock was in focus after Transformers & Rectifiers received an order worth Rs. 726 crore from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited for the Manufacturing and supply of Auto Transformers and Bus Reactors. The period for completion is 18 months from the date of issue of Letter of Intent.
Financial Performance
Their Q3FY25 results show revenue from operations of Rs. 559 crore which increased by 51.49 percent year on year, from Rs. 369 crore in Q3FY24 and a 20.99 percent increase from Rs. 462 crore in Q2FY25.
Their net profit increased by 243.75 percent year on year, from Rs. 16 crores in Q3FY24 to Rs. 55 crores in Q3FY25. Quarterly, the profits were up 19.56 percent from Rs. 46 crore.
Revenue Segment & Order Book
According to the company’s quarterly December 2024 report, they considered revenue from manufacturing transformers as their sole segment as of Q2FY25.
The Order book as of 31st December 2024 stood at Rs. 3,686 crore; out of those, 47 percent are from Industrial Customers, 43 percent from Central Utilities, and the remaining 10 percent from State Utilities. 66 percent of the orders are for Power Transmission, 27 percent for Reactors, and the remaining 7 percent for Special Duty Transformers.
