The corporate earnings season has already started. October marks the beginning of the third quarter, but with Q2 results being announced, come announcements of dividends. Investors eagerly hope for corporate actions like dividends that help them make extra money during the festive season. 

The ex-date and the record date are two significant dates when it comes to dividends or any other corporate action. The ex-date sequentially comes before the record date. Investors who want to be eligible to receive dividends have to buy shares before the ex-date so that these shares get credited to their accounts by the record date. 

Here are five shares that will trade ex-dividend next week: 

Ksolves India Ltd 

The software solution provider has declared an interim dividend of ₹ 4.50 per share (45 per cent of the face value of ₹ 10). The record date for this purpose is October 27, 2022, and its shares will start trading ex-dividend on October 25, 2022. Its shares were trading at ₹ 445 levels on Tuesday’s early trades. The company has a dividend yield of 3.58%. 

Cyient Ltd 

The global technology services and solutions company has an interim dividend of ₹ 10.00 per share (200 per cent of the face value of ₹ 5). The record date for this purpose is October 27, 2022, and its shares will start trading ex-dividend on October 25, 2022. Its shares were trading at ₹ 757 levels on Tuesday’s early trades The company has a dividend yield of 3.17% 

ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Ltd 

The general insurance provider has declared an interim dividend of ₹ 4.5 per share (45 per cent of the face value of ₹ 10). The record date for this purpose is October 28, 2022, and its shares will start trading ex-dividend on October 27, 2022. Its shares were trading at ₹ 1160 levels on Tuesday. The company has a dividend yield of 0.82% 

Infosys Ltd 

The IT major has declared an interim dividend of ₹ 4.5 per share (330 per cent of the face value of ₹ 5). The record date for this purpose is October 28, 2022, and its

shares will start trading ex-dividend on October 27, 2022. Its shares were trading at ₹ 1525 levels on Tuesday. The company has a dividend yield of 2.17% 

L&T Technology Services Ltd 

The engineering services provider has declared an interim dividend of ₹ 15 per share (750 per cent of the face value of ₹ 5). The record date for this purpose is October 28, 2022, and its shares will start trading ex-dividend on October 27, 2022. Its shares were trading at ₹ 3560 levels on Tuesday. The company has a dividend yield of 0.70%
