The Piotroski score is a score between zero and ten, used to determine the best value stocks, with nine being the best and zero being the worst. It uses nine parameters to determine the strength of a firm’s financial position. These parameters include net income, operating cash flow, quality of earnings, return on assets, leverage, current ratio, outstanding shares, gross margin, and asset turnover ratio. 

Here are four midcap stocks with a Piotroski score of 9:

Tata Chemicals is a mid-cap company with a market capitalization of ₹ 25,499 crores and its shares were trading at ₹ 984 levels on Thursday. 

Oil India Ltd 

Oil India is an integrated exploration and production company in the upstream sector. Its business segments include crude oil, natural gas, LPG, pipeline transportation, renewable energy and others. It is a mid-cap company with a market capitalization of ₹ 25,238 crores and its shares were trading at ₹ 233 levels. 

Trident Ltd 

The company is engaged in the manufacturing, trading and selling of textiles and paper chemicals. It is the flagship company of the Trident group. Its products include yarn, towels, bedsheets, drawing paper and more. It is a mid-cap company with a market capitalization of ₹ 16,721 crores and its shares were trading at ₹ 34 levels. 

Bharat Dynamics Ltd

Bharat Dynamics is a government of India enterprise and is engaged in the manufacturing and production of guided missile systems and defence equipment. It is a mid-cap company with a market capitalization of ₹ 17,074 crores and its shares were trading at ₹ 923 levels.
