The shares of this market leader in the local search engine segment gained up to 13 percent after the company’s revenue and net profit increased by 16 percent and 38 percent respectively, in the fourth quarter.
With a market capitalization of Rs 8,360.91 crore, the shares of Just Dial Ltd were trading at Rs 995.25 per share, increasing around 11.33 percent as compared to the previous closing of Rs 894 apiece.
Looking into the company’s Performance, Just Dial Ltd’s revenue increased by 2 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis from Rs. 265 crores in Q3FY24 to Rs.270 crores in Q4FY24. Further, revenue increased by 16 percent year on year from Rs. 233 crores in Q4FY23 to Rs.270 crores in Q4FY24.
Just Dial Ltd’s net profit increased by 26 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis from Rs. 92 crores in Q3FY24 to Rs. 116 crores in Q4FY24. Further, net profit increased by 38 percent year on year from Rs. 84 crore in Q4FY23 to Rs. 116 crore in Q4FY24.
Just Dial has countrywide coverage with branches in 11 cities, 4,714 telesales personnel, and 6,192 feet-on-the-street salesforce. They also have an on-the-ground presence in over 250 cities and 11,000+ pin codes.
The company’s profitability measures show an incline in return on equity (RoE) from 2.03 percent in FY 21-22 to 4.43 percent in FY 22-23, while, during the same period return on capital employed (RoCE) increased from 2.49 percent to 5.13 percent. In contrast, the net profit margin (NPM) was 19.26 percent in fiscal year 22-23.
In the company’s recent shareholding pattern, the Promoters of the company own 74.31 percent while Retail shareholders own an 11.93 percent stake in the company, and Foreign Institutional Investors own a 4.87 percent stake.
