Legalkart raises Rs 4 cr from Mumbai Angels, IIM Udaipur Incubation Center Mumbai, Jan 21 (PTI) Legaltech start-up Legalkart has raised Rs 4 crore from Mumbai Angels and the IIM Udaipur Incubation Center in a pre-series-A round.
Legalkart founder and CEO Arvind Singhatiya said the Gurgaon-based legal-tech start-up plans to utilise the funds to develop new products with AI/ ML capabilities to offer instant access to legal support.
Founded in 2018, Legalkart had in 2019 raised a seed funding of around Rs 3.5 crore from a group of angel investors. The company has already served more than 1 lakh consumers and has over 10,000 lawyers on its platform in more than 900 locations.

It reported a revenue of Rs 524.06 crore, which rose 95 per cent from Rs 268.07 crore a year ago.
The bottomline (profit) improvement was driven by a three per cent growth in margins, the garment exporter said on Friday. During the past nine months, the company has incurred a capital expenditure of Rs 42 crore towards capacity expansion and the modernisation of its business infrastructure.
The company had earlier in this quarter infused an equity capital of Rs 300 crore, through a QIP in October 2021. This was used to reduce borrowings. The company has also reduced its net debt to Rs 71.3 crore from Rs 166.2 crore in March 2021. PTI BEN HRS hrs
