New Delhi, Apr 26 (PTI) Cardinal Health, a global healthcare distribution company, on Tuesday said it has launched a new global capability centre in Bengaluru.

The centre, named as Cardinal Health International India (CHII), will function as a global hub for IT, augmented intelligence and product software engineering, among others.

CHII marks a large investment by Cardinal Health, which has presence in over 30 countries, to create a service and technology network that will enable scale up across enterprises, the company said.

The CHII team in India will focus on bringing Cardinal Health’s mission and vision to life by being a hub of technology talent, said Cardinal Health which reported revenues of USD 162 billion in FY21.

“The launch of Cardinal Health International India demonstrates our commitment to India as a strategic hub to build tech capabilities for Cardinal Health worldwide. Being innovative is at the core of who we are,” said Jerome Revish, Senior Vice President (Digital Transformation Office), Cardinal Health.

“By challenging the status quo and making shifts in the way we do business, the company will help its customers adapt and lead the healthcare industry through changes,” he added.

“The focus of this multi-functional centre is to build a world-class capability that is at an intersection of tech-innovation and learning, empowering our people to build solutions that will solve healthcare’s most complex challenges,” Nagaraj Bhat, Vice President and Managing Director, Cardinal Health International India, said.

The US-based company has operations in more than 30 countries and employs around 44,000 people globally. PTI MSS HVA
