New Delhi, Dec 1 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 250 to Rs 5,146 per barrel as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for December delivery traded higher by Rs 250, or 5.11 per cent, to Rs 5,146 per barrel in 6,497 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was quoting higher by 3.96 per cent at USD 68.80 per barrel, while Brent crude gained 4.15 per cent to trade at USD 72.10 per barrel in New York. PTI SHW RUJ RUJ
