New Delhi, Apr 18 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Monday rose by Rs 50 to Rs 8,114 per barrel as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for May delivery traded higher by Rs 50 or 0.62 per cent at Rs 8,114 per barrel in 4,206 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down by 0.05 per cent at USD 106.90 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 0.06 per cent higher at USD 111.77 per barrel in New York. PTI SHW AJ AJ
