New Delhi, May 6 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Friday rose by Rs 80 to Rs 8,345 per barrel as participants widened positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for May delivery traded higher by Rs 80 or 0.97 per cent at Rs 8,345 per barrel in 7,483 lots.

Analysts said the raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up by 0.32 per cent at USD 108.61 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.34 per cent higher at USD 111.28 per barrel in New York. PTI SHW AJ AJ
