New Delhi, Dec 10 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Friday fell by Rs 20 to Rs 5,386 per barrel after participants cut their positions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for December delivery dropped by Rs 20, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 5,386 per barrel with a business volume of 4,409 lots.
Analysts said the fall in crude oil futures was due to the trimming of positions by traders amid a weak spot demand.
However, globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 0.37 per cent higher at USD 71.20 per barrel.
Meanwhile, Brent crude, the international benchmark, gained 0.08 per cent to trade at USD 74.48 per barrel in New York. PTI SHW RUJ RUJ
