New Delhi, Nov 18 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Thursday fell by Rs 101 to Rs 5,691 per barrel after participants cut their positions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for December delivery dropped by Rs 101, or 1.74 per cent, to Rs 5,691 per barrel with a business volume of 6,228 lots.
Analysts said the fall in crude oil futures was due to trimming of positions by traders amid a weak spot demand.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 1.45 per cent lower at USD 77.22 per barrel.
Meanwhile, Brent crude, the international benchmark, was trading down by 1.03 per cent at USD 79.45 per barrel in New York. PTI SHW RUJ RUJ
