New Delhi, Nov 22 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Monday rose by Rs 26 to Rs 5,695 per barrel as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for November delivery traded higher by Rs 26, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 5,695 per barrel in 6,707 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

However, globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading down by 0.58 per cent at USD 76.38 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 0.46 per cent higher at USD 79.25 per barrel in New York. PTI SHW RUJ RUJ
