New Delhi, Jan 28 (PTI) Crude oil prices rose Rs 11 to Rs 6,566 per barrel on Friday as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for the February delivery traded higher by Rs 11, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 6,566 per barrel in 11,579 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in the futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil gained 0.91 per cent to USD 87.40 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 0.86 per cent higher at USD 90.11 per barrel in New York. PTI RUJ HRS hrs
