New Delhi, Feb 10 (PTI) Crude oil prices rose Rs 71 to Rs 6,746 per barrel on Thursday, as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for the February delivery traded higher by Rs 71, or 1.06 per cent, to Rs 6,746 per barrel in 10,391 lots.

Analysts said the raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in the futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil gained 0.37 per cent to USD 89.99 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 0.29 per cent up at USD 91.82 per barrel in New York. PTI RUJ HRS hrs
