New Delhi, Nov 25 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Thursday fell by Rs 15 to Rs 5,846 per barrel after participants cut their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for December delivery dropped by Rs 15, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 5,846 per barrel with a business volume of 3,707 lots.

Analysts said the fall in crude oil futures was due to trimming of positions by traders amid a weak spot demand.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 0.22 per cent lower at USD 78.22 per barrel.

Meanwhile, Brent crude, the international benchmark, was trading down by 0.10 per cent at USD 82.17 per barrel in New York. PTI SHW RUJ RUJ
