New Delhi, Feb 18 (PTI) Crude oil prices fell by Rs 47 to Rs 6,680 per barrel on Friday in futures trade in line with weak global cues.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for the March delivery dropped by Rs 47, or 0.7 per cent, to Rs 6,680 per barrel with a business volume of 5,911 lots.
Analysts said crude oil prices dropped in the global markets on hopes of extra supply of oil from Iran as reports suggested progress on a deal to revive Iran’s nuclear agreement with world powers.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 1.12 per cent lower at USD 90.73 per barrel.
Meanwhile, international benchmark Brent crude oil was quoting 0.99 per cent lower to trade at USD 92.05 per barrel in New York.
Indian basket, however, firmed up by 0.15 per cent to USD 94.68 per barrel. PTI RUJ MR MR
