New Delhi, Mar 23 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 13 to Rs 8,422 per barrel as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for April delivery traded higher by Rs 13 or 0.15 per cent to Rs 8,422 per barrel in 8,063 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up by 0.71 per cent at USD 110.05 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 0.84 per cent higher at USD 116.45 per barrel in New York. PTI SHW RUJ RUJ
